Custom commissions

From archival reference to finished embroidery

ELYFU develops bespoke exhibition-themed embroidery and botanical collections for institutions and brands. Every commission moves through four clear stages, with your review built in before any bulk batching begins.

The commissioning workflow

Four steps from brief to delivery

01

Archival brief

We begin with your archival reference or flora specimen, translating it into a custom dye vat formula and embroidery motif for your collection.

02

Dye strike-off

We test the botanical dye against your reference, producing counter-samples that show how the colour and stitch will read on the finished textile.

03

Sample approval

You review and approve the pre-production counter-samples before any bulk batching starts. Nothing moves to production without your sign-off.

04

Batch and delivery

Flexible batching begins at 30–50 pieces per custom execution. Each batch is finished by hand and shipped once the approved sample is matched.

Begin with an exploratory consultation

Exhibition retail directors can start with a short conversation about your archive, your timeline, and your starting quantity.
